These terms govern your use of iamricky.com and any services provided by Ricky Goldman.
Services
Custom software development services are provided based on written proposals. Each project includes:
- A defined scope of work
- Fixed pricing
- Estimated timeline
- Deliverables
Payment Terms
- 50% deposit required to begin work
- 50% due upon project completion
- Invoices are payable within 15 days
- Late payments may incur a 1.5% monthly fee
Project Scope
The proposal defines the project scope. Changes or additions to scope will be discussed and quoted separately before implementation.
Ownership
Upon full payment, you own all code, databases, and materials created for your project. This includes:
- Source code
- Database structure
- Documentation
- Design files
I retain the right to use general knowledge, techniques, and approaches from projects in future work.
Confidentiality
I treat all client information as confidential. I will sign an NDA upon request. I will not share your business information or project details without permission.
Maintenance Services
Ongoing maintenance is provided on a month-to-month basis. Either party may cancel with notice. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Maintenance includes:
- Hosting and server management
- Security updates
- Bug fixes
- Technical support
Maintenance does not include new feature development.
Warranties
All projects include 60 days of post-launch support at no additional cost. During this period, I will fix any bugs or issues with the delivered functionality at no charge.
After 60 days, ongoing maintenance and support is available for $200/month.
Limitation of Liability
My total liability for any claims related to services provided will not exceed the amount paid for those services.
Termination
Either party may terminate a project with written notice. If you terminate:
- You pay for work completed to date
- You receive all work completed
- The deposit is non-refundable
If I terminate:
- I refund any unused portion of payments
- You receive all work completed
Disputes
Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes will be handled through binding arbitration in Illinois.
Changes to Terms
I may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
